Global Day of Action for Tibet on Monday 31st March
Next Monday, 31st March 2008, has been nominated by the worldwide Tibetan community in exile as a Global Day of Action for Tibet and events are being planned worldwide, including in Ireland. (Monday is also the day that the Olympic Torch is due to arrive in Beijing.)
Please join the Tibetan Community in Ireland and Tibet Support Group-Ireland for the following events in Dublin - and please forward this e-mail immediately to all your contacts. If you cannot get a day off work, please arrange to meet up with the peace march during lunchtime and then attend the candlelight vigil after work. For the peace march please, if possible, wear black and a white silk scarf (a traditional Tibetan "khatag") and bring candles for the vigil (and extra khatags and candles to give to others if you can!).
If you cannot make it to Dublin, and you live in or near Galway, please contact Sylvia Farkasovska at sylviafarkasovska@yahoo.com.
Someone is also planning an event in Cork on Wednesday 2nd April. If you live in or near Cork, please contact tibetire@indigo.ie and we will forward your details to that person so that you can give them your support.
If you would like to organise something in your own city, please contact tibetire@indigo.ie.
